Massage Doula

I’m a hands on Birth and Postpartum Doula certified through Childbirth International, CBI. I passionately support woman and their families through this magical and transformative time in life. As a Massage Doula, I focus on customizing physical and educational support to accommodate the unique needs of everyone that I work with.

hands on Labor prep

This is an in person meeting for any expecting couples who wishes to have a little more preparation with hands on tools to use during labor. It begins with becoming familiar with the mamas needs then we dive into a brief explanation of the physiological birth process and the human body, bringing awareness to the specific muscles and bony landmarks that we will be addressing. While mom is comfortable in different positions and on a massage table her partner will be guided through specific massage & spinning baby techniques that are beneficial during pregnancy & labor . This time is for developing a deeper connection with each couple and helping to build confidence and team work for the labor and beyond.

Birth Doula services

An interview to determine if we are compatible.
Monthly video chats for a brief check in.
Two prenatal (2hrs each) meetings in the comfort of your home to review your wishes, introduce options, gather insight and discuss the various techniques for the natural and/or medical management of the discomfort associated with labor.
One 90 minute massage to be used during pregnancy or postpartum.
On call 24/7 for you from 37 weeks providing unlimited phone and email support until you go into labor.
During labor, phone/text communication at first signs of labor and continuous in-person support from the time it’s requested, including 2 hours post-birth support to help with the immediate adjustment period.
Photography and video clips of your labor and birth if desired.
Two postpartum visits that are each 2 hours. The first visit will include a reflection of the birth experience, help with answering baby/nursing questions to help ease the transition into the postpartum period, and some massage for mom in the comfort of her own bed. The second visit will include an hour massage and any additional support that might be needed at that moment whether it’s decompressing and normalizing the postpartum experience, preparing a bath, help caring for the baby or a sibling, preparing a meal or snack, etc. Other needs can be met if a massage is not preferred during that time.

My goal is to prepare expectant parents with the necessary tools and support during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. My vision includes doing this in a way that is positive and authentic to each family, ultimately honoring your experience and peacefully welcoming your baby.

First of all, she is a gifted massage therapist and her massages helped to sooth my changing body during my pregnancy and after my baby was born. But more importantly, she was a lifesaver during the birth of our daughter. I honestly can't imagine going through labor and delivery without her. Leading up to the birth, she assisted us with all aspect of preparation including helping us with our birth plan, breathing techniques, what to expect during and after birth, resources, etc. She was so supportive of my husband and made him feel confident and prepared for labor and delivery. The three of us worked together in preparation of the birth and I felt like we were a solid team! It gave us confidence and put us at ease leading up to when I went into labor. We knew Jennie was there supporting us every step of the way and it made all the difference.

When I went into labor, it was so comforting to have Jennie in our corner. This was our first child and it was wonderful to have somewhere there who knew the process and hospital inside and out. She was at the hospital when we arrived and I was so happy to see her!! During my labor Jennie was there giving us her full attention and she is one of the main reasons why everything ended up going smoothly. She worked so well with the doctors and delivery nurses and helped me stay on track with my birth plan. She helped me through each and every contraction (hip compressions, massage, breathing) and after an intense and difficult labor (about 12 hours total) our daughter was born naturally just as we had hoped. Jennie was a beacon of strength and love throughout the entire process and I can not thank her enough for helping us through such an intense, life changing event.
